Today’s project at 37,425 miles, changing the rear differential fluid.
Pretty straightforward job. Just two bolts, one on top to fill, I did that one first in case I had trouble undoing it, so that the fluid would remain in the differential, and then the bottom to drain the fluid. People recommended doing it this way in case the top bolt is too stubborn so I could drive to a mechanic to get it loosened up, but I had no such problems. The car is so new that it took no effort to loosen them.
The most important part of the project was to jack the car high enough for me to fit under it.
And now I’m set for another 30,000 miles.
