Power Steering Fluid Flush with Mobil 1 Synthetic ATF

The power steering tank was looking rather dark, so at my buddy Chris’s suggestion I went ahead and flushed it out with fresh Mobil 1 Synthetic ATF.

The job was fairly straight forward and very simple to do. Tools needed are a container for old fluid and a turkey baster to suck it out of the container.

The procedure is to suck the fluid out into the container. Pour in new fluid. Start the car and turn the wheel left and right to full lock several times. Then shut down suck the mixed fluid out, and pour new in. Repeat several times until the fluid being sucked out is clean and pink.
