When is it?

July 10 to 12 with possible testing happening early in the week leading up to the race. CTMP relies on it’s own hired marshals for track rental days.

Where is it?

Canadian Tire Motorsports Park (Mosport) is 14.7 miles (23.7 km) North of Bowmanville, Ontario and 61.2 miles (98.6 km) Northeast of downtown Toronto.

How do I get there?

The nearest highway is the 401 going Northeast Southeast from Montreal, Quebec to Windsor, Ontario on the Detroit, MI border. From the US i94 connects to the 401 in Michigan and i81 connects near Thousand Islands crossing in Upstate New York. (YYZ) Toronto Pearson International Airport is 61.8 miles (99.5 km) Southwest of the track or about 1 hour 15 minute drive via 407 toll road or 67.1 miles (108 km) and 1.5 hour drive via the 401.

When can I register?

Registration opens a few months before the event.

Who do I register with?

The Motorsport Marshalling Services club of Ontario organizes events at CTMP, visit their web site for details on submitting your registration:  http://www.motorsportmarshalling.on.ca/ MMS welcome international marshals especially those from the SCCA.

What should I bring to the event if selected and what’s provided?

Bring your own White uniform. Rain gear and comfortable shoes. There are significant hills at CTMP with gravel and grassy pathways that may turn muddy in bad weather. Wear comfortable shoes, the stations are made of wood though some marshals are posted stand on the ground especially working cross track safety positions.

Where is event registration?

Registration and Credentials collection is done at the Registration building through the Main Gate and to the right.

Where is the morning meeting?

Morning meetings are held at the MMS building which can be reached by using the Main Gate, going through the tunnel and up the hill past the paddock on the left. Top of the hill make a right and the MMS building is on the left.

Where can I stay?

Following the same directions to the MMS building for registration, continue on that road on top of the hill and make a left, at the bottom of the hill enter the Marshal Camping area on the right. Tent and RV space should be available to request. It is also possible to Couchsurf or use Airbnb in nearby Bowmanville though this will add to the commute every day and may be easier to camp.

What perks are offered for volunteering this event?

It is possible for MMS to distribute their hats or t-shirts, stickers or patches. Sometimes they offer “swag” collected form the series or teams.
