How to become a marshal in Australia?

Want to marshal the Australian F1 Grand Prix or the V8 Supercar series? Australia is a huge country with many motorsport events taking place almost year round. CAMS is the official governing body for most of the major motorsport events that cover Formula One and V8 Supercars, but there are smaller governing bodies that sanction local events throughout the country.

In my experience Victoria is the most active state when it comes to motorsports. With numerous race tracks holding events almost on a weekly basis, among my favorite is of course Phillip Island. However other states like NSW, Queensland and South Australia do hold professional events that requite marshals and is a great way to get involved in Motorsports.

While I have attended a V8Supercars race in 2009 when I lived in Australia I didn’t get involved with marshaling until 2012 when I volunteered as a track marshal for the AGP, I was a track marshal at turn 10 though I was rotated to turn 9 for race day.
