How to become a marshal in Malaysia?
Want to marshal the Malaysian F1 Grand Prix? or one of the many sports car events taking place either at Sepang or around the country? Malaysia is a relatively large country in Southeast Asia with a number of circuits that hold world class motorsport events year round. Formula One is perhaps the best known event, however Asian Le Mans and the Japanese Super GT make annual visits. There is also the debut of Formula E to take place at Putrajaya/Cyberjaya so it’s worth pursuing your motorsports fix if you are in the region. To become a marshal visit the AAM governing body web site and attend the training class held at Sepang Circuit annually. Malaysian marshals get paid for working so competition may be stiff to get accepted, as people depend on that salary.
To marshal the Petronas Malaysian Formula 1 Grand Prix sign up on the Sepang International Circuit web site:

My first live F1 GP was in Malaysia in 2011. For 2012 I returned as a track marshal working as an Intervention marshal at turn 9 at the Sepang International Circuit.
