Earlier this year Mazda announced the Millionth Miata produced which is quite an accomplishment and a milestone. I saw my buddy Tanet from Thailand put his autograph on it when he visited the big Japanese MX-5 meet up in Karuizawa, Japan. That was in May. In July I missed the TidM MX-5 meet up in Germany by a week (I was in the Netherlands volunteering for DTM), where a bunch of the Dutch people I was going to meet were actually autographing the car in Germany, and when I got to Germany a few days later, the show was finished.
Now I finally get my chance!
The One-Millionth Miata tour will be coming to New Jersey this August and I plan to be there to sign the car at Wayne Mazda.
More info on the tour is here: http://insidemazda.mazdausa.com/press-release/millionth-miata/ and here: http://insidemazda.mazdausa.com/press-release/millionth-miata-tour-dates/
Besides New Jersey (NYC area) there are dates scheduled in Pennsylvania near Philadelphia, Massachusetts near Boston, Ohio, Illinois, Indiana, North Carolina, Florida, Texas, Arizona and California (of course!) with the final signing opportunity taking place at the Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca in Monterey.
I think it’s a worthwhile opportunity to check this thing out and sign the car if they let me.
