Mods: The modifications include a "hybrid" 3.0 conversion utilizing a
2001 Ford Taurus 3.0 Duratec block wth my 2.5L heads. The heads have been
ported and polished with a three (3) angle valve job. The upper and lower
intake manifolds have been ported and polished as well, and the lower intake
manifold features 37mm secondary butterflies. The exhaust is routed via
MSDS headers, SHOshop Y-pipe, and South County Autosports 2.5" after-cat
exhaust. The engine also has a fidanza aluminum flywheel. The transmission
has a SHOshop street clutch, Quaife torque-biasing diff, which is connected
to a Ford Racing short shifter. The car also has Pole120 front and rear
poly motor mounts. The motor was built by SHOhsop, but tuned by Arizona
DynoShip in Phoenix.
The suspension mods include SHOshop subframe connectors, Koni shocks, H&R
springs which were the first set in the US. My car was used for the test
fit. The car also has a Progress/SCA 21mm rear swaybar with upgraded
heavy-duty mounts. The car has a Sparco front strut tie-bar and a SHOshop
rear strut tie-bar.
The car has two sets of wheel, Team Dynamics Monza's, anthracite, 18x8 with
Falken Azenis ST-115's in 225/40-18. The car has a BAER 13.1" Track kit up
front, and TCE 11.75 rotor upgrade in the back. Stainless steel lines all
around.
The interior has Recaro SRD's, the rear seat has been recovered in cloth to
match. The car has a two-toned black/blue interior. It has a Lotek
a-pillar guage pod with Nordskog oil pressure, oil temp and voltmeter
guages. The center console has been backdated to a 1995 piece which looks
sportier.
The stereo consist of a Clarion VRX 935 AM/FM/CD/DVD flip-out monitor, two
Rockford Fosgate Amplifiers, Massive Audio 5.25 components up front, Pioneer
6x8 tri-axials in the rear, and 2 JL10W0's in the trunk. All the wiring is
by Monster Cable.
The exterior is SVT stock with a Mirko front splitter, Carbon Fiber One
carbon fiber OEM hood, and Carbon Fiber One carbon fiber CX trunk. I also
hand built the headlights using Hella H9 low beam projectors and H9 high
beam reflector lights. I also put in an HID conversion which includes 8000K
bulbs. The stock foglights have been replaced by PIAA 510 driving lights.
The paint is the original Toreador Red. The car has not been repainted.
