Caffeine & Carburetors in New Canaan, Connecticut Sept 2017: Lotus Elan

The one car I’ve wanted to see more than any other recently is a Lotus Elan… the car that a Mazda Cosmo and later the Mazda MX5 Miata were based on.

Caffeine & Carburetors in New Canaan, Connecticut Sept 2017: the French

The French cars of Caffeine & Carburetors in New Canaan, CT this weekend were not as represented as some of the other popular country brands but it’s worth remembering that it’s been a long while since French cars sold in the US. Sure you can probably buy a Bugatti today if you got a few spare million laying around, but it was a great sight to see several cool Citroens at the show today… including an iconic DS model and an even more recognizable 2CV.

Caffeine & Carburetors in New Canaan, Connecticut Sept 2017: the Italians

The Italians at Caffeine & Carburetors in New Canaan, CT this weekend came out in force!

Instead of yapping I’m just going to share pix… I have a new found love for Alfa Romeo’s and Lancia’s don’t know why, but I’ve started noticing them more and more. Of course the Lambo’s and Ferrari’s came out in abundance too. I was especially happy to see the Dino GT and the Miura present.
