Cars and Coffee at Tices Corner in Woodcliff Lake New Jersey April 2018

Good news, bad news… finally found a job which unfortunately has me working Sundays. Luckily it’s around the corner from this Sunday’s Cars and Coffee at Tices Corner in Woodcliff Lake… so I stopped by first thing in the morning to take some pix.

It took a few attempts to get the 2018 C&C season going with all the snow and salt on the roads deep into spring time. But it finally happened. And the takeaway for me from the first event of the season was all the colorful Lambos… and more specifically the Murcielagos.

That ugly gray mess of a pile behind one of the orange Murcies is dust covered snow… it was still freezing. I’m looking forward to more of these events once the weather gets nicer.

Cars & Coffee at Ray Catena Dealerships in Edison, NJ October 2017

A gorgeous day for a car show!

Today’s venue was advertised by Cars & Caffe of Bergen County at the invitation of Ray Catena dealerships in Edison, Central Jersey. RSVP’s very encouraged because of limited space but the event seemed quite small which allowed for decent pictures without too many people walking into a shot… yay!

Hey that’s a pretty bike with both HRC from Superbikes and a MotoAmerica sticker on it.

I love the look of that shift knob… the “Ferrari” look that I got going in my in Miata right now with an eBay black ball shift know I bought.

Demon’s are all the rage these days! And Hellcat’s too…

Glad I finally caught this Ford GT without anyone around to get a decent shot. Also happy that it brought some color to an otherwise very-suburbia event where everyone drives dull color cars, lots of silvers and grays, whites… etc.

Two of these beautiful Ferrari’s made it out today… Cool!

It’s incredible how these Gallardo’s already seem like such classics. They were the newest mass production Lambo just a few years ago.

Pretty incredible how bright a simple “white” color car can be!

Do these stickers really work?

Three of the new Civic Type R pulled in together… overheard people talking paying $50-$60k for these… really? Really? For a Civic?

The gold wheels really suit this car. I don’t know about getting/or painting my wheels similar color though. Nice to see though!

Nice side-by-side of a Range Rover vs. a Jaguar SUV. Silly me always thinking Jag made the cars while Land Rover focused on off-roaders, but things are sure changing.

I know McLaren has a rich history of Can Am racing, didn’t realize they had special edition cars commemorating that fact.

Caffeine & Carburetors in New Canaan, Connecticut Sept 2017: the Brits

Jaguars… lots and lots of Jaaags and Austin Martins, Austin Healeys, Mini Coopers, MG’s, Mini Moke… the Brits were well represented at this weekend’s Caffeine & Carburetors in New Canaan, CT.

Is a Caterham now a Malaysian marque or is it still considered British? Either way there were several Super 7’s in attendance.

More from this series:

Enough talk, here’s the pix:

Although technically South African if they’re kit cars… the original Anglo-American company were built in both UK and USA. British body with American V8… oh ho ho ho!

Cars & Coffee at Tice’s Corner Woodcliff Lake New Jersey June 2017

Sunday Fun Day! A heatwave is hitting Northern New Jersey, and a ton of people came out for this month’s Cars & Coffee event at Tice’s Corner in Woodcliff Lake, NJ

I overslept… didn’t wash my car but wanted to hang out with a few people at the event. So I rushed over… and as soon as I pulled in around 10am everyone else started leaving… all the McLaren P1’s, the Porsche 911’s, the Lamborghinis and Ferrari’s of very recent vintage, but the few cars that remained still caught my eye. So I wanted to share some pix of them…. I realize a lot of the cars are classic and vintage, which you’re likely to see at your neighborhood’s weekly cruise night. But I don’t care. It was a great mix of new and old and for me these oldies stood out….

especially the Figaro:

It’s also important to remember that this area of Jersey is still very European… there’s BMW North American headquarters just across the street. There’s lots of Italians still living here. The real Mafialand… you know where Soprano’s are from. So it’s nice to see all these Alfa Romeo’s, Lancia’s and Fiat’s around. The classic type, the ones that you don’t normally see here. That was nice to see!

Oh and I also really loved the Geländewagen:

Haven’t seen these in a while… but I have seen them before… in Europe, Asia and Australia/New Zealand. It was nice to see them again!

How is this car a “Historic”?

It is registered as one… look at the Trianglular inspection sticker.

Seeing the Mercedes-Benz 300SL in both convertible and gullwing was awesome… seen both of them before but they sure stood out.

Oh look… a nice Ford

C’est fini….  until next time!
